The Kaleidoscope Project aims at ensuring equitable and comprehensive access to reproductive health services and information for women of reproductive age, including adolescent girls.
The program is implemented across arid and semi-arid regions, predominantly reaching women in informal settlements, rural areas, and marginalized communities. By focusing on women aged 15–49 years, the project addresses gaps in healthcare access, education, and empowerment.
Through community engagement, capacity building, and targeted interventions, we provide vital reproductive health services, promote awareness on family planning, maternal and adolescent health, and strengthen local healthcare systems.
Our goal is to empower women and adolescent girls to make informed health decisions, improving their well-being and contributing to healthier, more resilient communities.
The Kaleidoscope Project is transforming maternal health by improving access to quality care, training healthcare providers, and empowering communities. We help mothers and newborns experience safer, healthier pregnancies.
Providing prenatal, skilled delivery, and postnatal services to ensure safe journeys into motherhood.
Empowering health workers and volunteers with advanced skills in maternal and neonatal care.
Mobilizing families through education on nutrition, birth preparedness, and early newborn care.
Facilitating rapid referrals and critical interventions for high-risk pregnancies to reduce mortality.
ADS Nyanza makes a significant step forward for reproductive health and justice in Samburu County as we announce the signing of the MOU for the Kaleidoscope Project at the Samburu County Referral Hospital. This at-scale program is designed to reclaim Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and justice for all, with a crucial focus on ensuring the realization of the right to safe abortion through robust system strengthening.
This initiative is a collaboration between the County Government of Samburu, led by the CEC Health, Dr. Nassir Lekudere, Chief Officer Health Dr. Josephat Lenguris, CDH, Dr. Lekenit Ezra, and TICAH led by Jedidah Maina, ADS–Nyanza led by Samuel Omondi, KMET led by John Okere, and Zamara Foundation led by Lucy Kombe, as implementing partners.
Together we are committed to building a resilient health system and promoting SRHR access for the most vulnerable.
The Kaleidoscope Project implementing partners, together with officials from the County Government of Samburu, convened a governance committee meeting to map out the structures that will guide the project within the county.
In a unified voice, they agreed on the key deliverables that will shape and drive the successful implementation of this transformative initiative. This marks an important step toward strengthening systems that uphold Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for all.
The Kaleidoscope Project, led by ADS Nyanza, is dedicated to improving health outcomes across multiple counties in Kenya. Working closely with local healthcare providers, community leaders, and women's groups, the project ensures access to quality care, health education, and community support.
